| Anthea is Galomy Oak's first CSV, and arrived in the United States early in 2008. She is from entirely Czech Lineage, and was from the first litter of od vlci skaly kennel, bred by hynek kopecky, in korycany, czech republic. Anthea really enjoys obedience and agility. She is extremely energetic and responsive, and really a joy to work with. Anthea was raised in her breeder's house with several very young children until the age of 4 months, and is very gentle with people, though a little aloof with strangers. She is fearless of almost everything, and easy to socialize in new situations. Smart and clever, Anthea learns very quickly, and gets bored with long, repetitive training sessions, so she works in short and frequent sessions. Anthea has high food drive, and moderate play drive, and responds very well to positive reinforcement. She also has very high prey drive, so she is separated from the cats. She is also very dominant with other dogs, so she is very closely supervised around new dogs. She is the ultimate "camping dog" dog - she will travel for hours alongside a bike, and endlessly retrieve from the water. With a great character, excellent hips, and good conformation, Anthea will be bred to CH Taabernakkelin Hronsek in late 2009 or early 2010. |
